גַּרְגּוּתְנִי
גַּרְגּוּתְנִי(גַּרְגַּתְנִי Ar.) f. (v. גּוּרְגָּא) 1) a wicker or network in the wine or oil press. Ab. Zar.56b החזיר ג׳ לגת if he placed the net (once used) back into the vat. Ḥag.22b גורג׳ some ed.; Tosef. ib. III, 4. Lev. R. s. 22 he gathered the vessels of the Temple ונתנן לתוך ג׳ and placed them in a net; Gitt.56b he took the curtain ועשאו כמין ג׳ and shaped it like Tosef.Kel.B. Mets. VI, 5. 2) (from its shrivelled surface) the scarry and lifeless surface of a healed up wound, eschar. B. Kam.85a העלתה מכתו ג׳ if, through neglect of medical advice, the wound became scabby; Y. ib. 6b bot. (read:) עלתה בו ג׳.
